What is VOOT?

VOOT is a hosted analytical solution for YouTube that automatically tracks and trends search rankings and in-depth video performance and engagement data.

Why are search rankings and engagement data important?

With over 24 hours of video uploaded every minute to YouTube it is getting more difficult to gain exposure. However, with over 2 billion video views a day and over 132 million viewers, YouTube’s potential as a marketing vehicle cannot be ignored.

YouTube tells us that as much as 80% of a video’s views can come from searches and that video engagement levels factor considerably in determining the level of visibility a video receives*.

What will VOOT do for me?

VOOT will save you a ton of time and help to put more green in your wallet. VOOT is designed to automatically provide the search and engagement data you need to make the decisions necessary to maximize a video’s visibility and performance. A great deal of time (and sanity) is saved thanks to VOOT’s automation and the use of a single intuitive and comprehensive interface. No longer will you need to track hundreds (or thousands) of keywords and video engagement data by hand in a spreadsheet hell.

How easy is it to get video information into VOOT?

Very easy. With your approval, VOOT will automatically fetch the information for any and all videos within your managed YouTube account. You may also import a video’s information manually by simply pasting in a URL. For keywords, you can paste them in from any spreadsheet hell you have.

How often is new YouTube data captured?

Data can be captured daily from YouTube. Currently, for beta, captures need to be started manually. Once started, VOOT will import all data automatically for all specified videos. The option for scheduling data captures from YouTube is in development.

What kind of YouTube data is tracked?

In addition to tracking keywords you associate with any videos, VOOT will track and trend engagements as well: the number of comments, favorites, ratings and the average rating for each video*.

* VOOT will report likes/dislikes once YouTube provides the data through their
API.

Can I monitor a competitor’s videos?

Absolutely. There are no limitations as to what public YouTube videos can be tracked. Use VOOT to track 3rd party high-performing videos to get insights on what it takes to gain their respective levels of visibility.
